AMR Announces Key Staff Promotions and Additions
(Lexington, KY) – AMR Management Services (AMR), a full-service association management company, is pleased to announce several key staffing promotions and additions.
Staffing Promotions
AMR recently promoted Rebecca Randall to the position of issues coordinator, assigned to serve the National Association of State Procurement Officials (NASPO). NASPO created this new position as a result of an increased demand among its members for enhanced services that include the facilitation of research and proactive information gathering and presentation on behalf of the association.
In her new role, Randall is responsible for the association's issue management, committee management, research, and the composition of issue briefs, position papers, and Congressional testimony on issues of interest to NASPO and its members. Randall previously served as a project coordinator for NASPO where she provided committee coordination, meeting and conference support and general membership services on behalf of the association. Randall holds a BA degree in Psychology from the University of Kentucky, and is currently pursuing an MPA degree from Kentucky State University.
AMR recently promoted Luciana Weinel to serve as the company's records coordinator. In her new role, Weinel will be responsible for managing membership and contact databases, conference registration and publication orders on behalf of AMR's clients. In her previous role, Weinel served as a project associate, responsible for providing administrative support for AMR's full-service and a la carte clients and internal service departments. Weinel holds an AAS degree in General Studies from Elgin Community College.
AMR is also pleased to announce the promotion of Mary Gay Whitmer to the position of senior issues coordinator, serving the National Association of State Chief Information Officers (NASCIO). In her new role, Whitmer, a five-year AMR employee, will lead NASCIO's issues management efforts. Her responsibilities include issue committee coordination, research, and the composition of briefs, position papers, and Congressional testimony on behalf of the association. Whitmer, who previously served as a NASCIO issues coordinator, received a Juris Doctor degree from the University of Kentucky College of Law, and she also received a BS degree in Business and Economics from the University of Kentucky. Whitmer holds a Kentucky law license and is also a Certified Information Privacy Professional/Government (CIPP/G).

Staffing Additions
AMR recently named Stephanie Jamison to serve as an issues coordinator for its client, the National Association of State Chief Information Officers (NASCIO). Jamison's responsibilities include issue management, committee coordination, research and the composition of briefs, position papers, and Congressional testimony on issues of interest to NASCIO. Prior to joining AMR, Jamison served as a legislative analyst for Stateside Associates, where she was responsible for tracking state legislation in 13 states for government and corporate clients and describing the political outlook on each bill according to information gleaned from state and organizational contacts. Jamison holds a BA degree in Sociology from Georgetown College, and is currently pursuing an MPA degree at Eastern Kentucky University.
AMR has named Laura Singler to serve as a project manager representing multiple AMR clients including the Nursing Organizations Alliance (the Alliance), the Women Executive Peer Exchange Network (WEPEN), and the Chief Officers of State Library Agencies (COSLA). In her position, Singler will be responsible for committee management, membership coordination, sponsorship coordination, meeting planning, and other administrative duties. Prior to joining AMR, Singler served as Community Director for the March of Dimes Bluegrass Division Office, where she was responsible for volunteer recruitment and management, event planning, fundraising, bookkeeping and public relations. Singler holds a BA degree in Integrated Strategic Communications from the University of Kentucky.
